>>El Bolsón

In the middle of the Argentine Patagonia, in the province of Río Negro, El Bolsón surprises you with its mountain landscape with little valleys that form the Comarca Andina. A great variety of landscapes, formed by abundant rivers such as the Azul (Blue), the Pedregoso, or the Manso, and lovely lakes such as the Puelo, Epuyén or Cholila, draw the geography of the place. People of the land, Mapuches, in their original language, chose these valleys to rest during their nomadic life, to them some muleteers, and descendents from Europeans added, who started modeling the character of the population.

El Bolsón, only 300 meters over the level of the sea, at the foot of Piltriquitón Hill, of 2,230 meters, shows the geographical characteristics of the area, with deep valleys, such as Puelo Lake, only 200 meters over the level of the sea, or El Hoyo, capital city of Fine Fruits, near the Pirque Hill. During the summer, the popular parties are another reason to know the productive and cultural riches. The quality and diversity of the production of the region, in many cases organic production of vegetables, dried flowers, lupul, fine fruit, cow and goat milk cheese, sweets, liquor, ice-cream, tulips, smoked-trout, evidence, as in many other forms, the devoted love the locals put in what they do. Furthermore, you will be able to visit the premises, and share details of the production.
