GLACIERS  & TREKKING CHALTÉN (October to May)

El Calafate - Perito Moreno Glacier - Upsala Glacier - El Chaltén

EL CALAFATE - Day 1

Reception and transportation from the El Calafate airport to the Hotel.

EL CALAFATE - Day 2

Sailing tour around the Upsala, Onelli, and Spegazzini Glaciers.  Getting on board at the Punta Bandera Spot, you get into the North arm to sail among icebergs up to the front of the Upsala Glacier, then you continue along the Onelli channel and you disembark at Onelli Bay, to see the Bolado and Heim Glaciers.  Finally you will sail towards the Spegazzini channel, to see the Seco, Spegazzini, and South Heim Glaciers.  Sail back to Punta Bandera.  

EL CALAFATE - GLACIERS - Day 3

Starting our journey from El Calafate we will cover 80 kms till we get to the footbridges zone, from where we will enjoy several panoramic views of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Departure from the Bajo las Sombras quay.  From the boat you can see the Southern wall of the Glacier, approximately 500 meters away, until you reach the opposite shore where you get off, to go on a mini trekking on the Glacier.

El CALAFATE - EL CHALTEN - Day 4

In the morning, departure towards El Chaltén. In the afternoon, optional excursion:
* Half-day, land excursion to the Lago del Desierto (Desert Lake).
(Optional lake excursion to Punta Norte Lago del Desierto or hiking to the Huemul Glacier).
* Half-day hiking to the viewpoints of the Fitz Roy Hill or Torre Hill.

EL CHALTEN - Day 5

Optional Excursions:
* Viedma Discovery: all day long sail on the Viedma Lake, and trekking on the Glacier.  
* All day long horseback ride to the foot of the Fitz Roy Hill.
* All day long trekking to the foot of the Fitz Roy Hill.

EL CHALTEN - EL CALAFATE - Day 6

In the morning, departure to the El Calafate Airport.
